Men Don't Know How To Deal With Women Like My Wife

A note from my husband ...Women are a pain in the rear!I mean if they would stop interjecting their view of the world, relations, politics, theology the days plans, things would go so much smoother. Lets face it, we men have it figured out and when we get into a group, well that's just pure genius multiplied.I think the formula goes something like this, man+man+man > man+woman+man.Have you been following what is happening in the EU? They are so determined to undermine their economy and standing in the world that they are working on legislation to reduce their productivity by requiring 40% involvement of women in their governing.Karyn L. EU new rules on female participation in governing.I hope they don't drag down the worldwide economy with this craziness!I know I sound crazy to some maybe brilliant to others but the truth is I am working in Africa for five weeks and my wife is with me. I cannot imagine taking on life or work without the joy of bouncing ideas and plans, dreams and vision, craziness and basics off of her brain, her view, and her perception.The formula is simple Steve+Jackie > Steve.For those of you who know us, this formula is as true as 2+2=4. I imagine we all know this to be true somewhere in our own lives.  So why does the formula seem to break down for so many men and women in the organized world? Why do we need to pass a law to include the other half of God's image bearing creation in decision-making?In the US we die on the "cross" of the "free market will make all things right" but if that is so why aren't all corporations with high representation of women on the board seeing their stock skyrocket? The statistics don't lie they perform better. Buy their stock and your portfolio will too.Why does a church that has discovered the truth of Genesis 1:27 and opened the doors to women pastoring and shepherding, still leave them out of the decision making process? Even if your theology does not allow for women elders, why not include them in discussions? Why not do all we can to be more?So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27 NLT)Why do the male church leaders we are running into here in Africa, both African and Western, struggle with my wife's direct, inquisitive questions. They are good questions and if you are working with orphans or the hungry or trying to build a church, being more seems like a good idea to me. Good questions always make us more.So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them....The older I get the less I understand about God but one thing I do understand, is when men and women are together, his image is fuller and I have a better chance of understanding him.I'm not willing to settle for less...You?
